Directed – Directed by Mans Marlind, Bjorn Stein. With Julianne Moore, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jeffrey DeMunn, Frances Conroy. A female forensic psychiatrist discovers that all of one of her patient’s multiple personalities are murder victims. She will have to find out what’s happening before her time is finished.
What About movie – After the death of her husband, Dr. Cara Harding’s faith in God has been shaken, but not her belief in science. In an attempt to get her more open to accepting unexplainable psychiatric theories, her father introduces her to Adam, a patient with multiple personalities who also takes on some of the physical characteristics of his other personalities. But Cara quickly discovers that his other personalities were murder victims and the more she finds out about Adam and his past, the closer she and her loved ones are to becoming murder victims themselves.

The first half of this film is actually a very goodpsychological\supernatural drama which is thoroughly enjoyable.Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are both excellent. Sadlyhowever in the second half it descends into the kind of god botheringmumbo jumbo so common in American cinema. Why it was released outsidethe U.S first is a mystery when its message, that having no faith ingod (even if you’re a six year old girl) can make you prey to some kindof hillbilly voodoo cult, is unlikely to appeal much outside the U.Smarket. Had they kept the sky fairy nonsense to a minimum and notsmacked us around the head with the idea that atheism is bad it couldhave been decently entertaining, but sadly they didn’t and it ended upbeing an unpleasant, cringeworthy mess.
