I just got back from seeing Bad Boys 2 and it was the coolest move ever. Ithad so much action in it topped off with comedy. For a 2 and 1/2 hour movieit didn’t seem that long at all. I loved that it didn’t have a whole lotCGI effects in it. I liked how they actually destroyed the cars and howthey really blew up that mansion, no fake model stuff. This was just ascool as the first movie was but a little bit better and cooler. I don’tknow how the critics in different areas rated the movie but the ones in myarea only gave it 1 and a half stars. I think it deserves at lease 3 and ahalf to 4 stars. I can’t what for this movie to hit DVD I be there to getit definitely the first day it hits shelves. If you haven’t go and see thisBAD movie.

Sylvia Fowler and Edith Potter discover this from a manicurist and arrange for Mary to hear the gossip. On the train taking her to a Reno divorce Mary meets the Countess and Miriam (in an affair with Fowler’s husband). While they are at Lucy’s dude ranch, Fowler arrives for her own divorce and the Countess meets fifth husband-to-be Buck. Back in New York, Mary’s ex is now unhappily married to Crystal who is already in an affair with Buck. When Sylvia lets this story slip at a country club dinner, Crystal brags of her plans for a still wealthier marriage, only to find the Countess is the source of all Buck’s money. Crystal must return to the perfume counter and Mary runs back to her husband.

Hey there, The movie has an interesting plot but it confused me.Sometimes I couldn’t follow the story ’cause I didn’t realize what justhappened. The parts between those which scared the **** out of you arekind of annoying the characters are boring and don’t have manyproperties. Whtever the scene which meant to be scary really scared meI’ll remember this one for a long time. Moreover the effects were thesame like always hence I missed something new in here and wascommiserate about what they did with such a nice idea. the cast wasokay though.

A secret London society agrees to disperse the assets of it’s deceasedmembers to the remainder of the group. It doesn’t take long for thevictims to start dropping off one by one. Enter Sherlock Holmes(Reginald Owen), brought into the case by the wife of victim numbertwo, upset that there isn’t even the hint of an inheritance coming herway. Adding to the mystery, the group communicates via cryptic adsplaced in a London newspaper.”A Study in Scarlet” is a credible mystery that gives the viewer a fewfalse leads, but is ultimately solved by Holmes in uncanny style. Thetitle of the film originates from the name of the clandestine group -the Scarlet Ring. There is a familiarity to the plot as each of thevictims receives a poetic message referencing the number of membersstill left alive, as in the Agatha Christie based “And Then There WereNone”, even though that film came a dozen years later in 1945. I must say, after viewing Basil Rathbone in the title role as theSherlock Holmes archetype, it takes a bit of getting used to ReginaldOwen depicting the sleuth; he’s got a little too much padding.Conversely, Warburton Gamble’s Dr. Watson doesn’t seem to have enough,a la Nigel Bruce’s portrayal. That aside, “A Study in Scarlet” is worththe effort, particularly for it’s dark and moody atmosphere, andSherlock Holmes’ deft use of the English language.

It will probably help if you did a little reading up on what the moviewas about before you watched it. For a person who likes to start amovie cold, the film confused me in the beginning. Then in due courseof time I understood the rhythm but was still confused with thealteration of colour and B&W shots of essentially the same scene.So the movie gets off to a bad start by assuming that audience membersare already in the know. It was interesting to see how various aspectsof Demy’s film making were influenced by his childhood experiences.However as in the case of most artists and intellectuals, this is to beexpected.Other than providing an insight, the interspersing of Demy’s movieclips in between also provided a sense of familiarity and comedy. Having been made by the wife of the main protagonist, the film feltfairly self-indulgent. It was like Shahjehan constructing the Taj Mahal- a beautiful construction for personal satisfaction for the others tosee and admire.The story is fairly simple, straight forward and predictable but itsexecution is charming. I for one came off this film highly inspired andmore determined to follow my dreams.4 stars for the optimism, feelgoodness and acting.

As someone who has enjoyed all the Plum books, I was a little wary whenI saw the casting. Good instincts because the movie was terrible, thecasting let down each of the main characters, only Debbie Reynoldscaptured the spirit of her character. The lead characters were notremotely like the book in the most important ways. It seems likecertain actors hit a career roll and are offered every lead that comesalong. They’d be better off actually reading the script and thendetermining their unsuitability for the role. This film is anothermisstep for Heighl. If I were the author of the Plum books, it would bea long time before I trusted anyone else to make a movie from my work.

What About movie – A mysterious man who has multiple jobs as a garage mechanic, a Hollywood stuntman and a getaway driver seems to be trying to escape his shady past as he falls for his neighbor – whose husband is in prison and who’s looking after her child alone. Meanwhile, his garage mechanic boss is trying to set up a race team using gangland money, which implicates our driver as he is to be used as the race team’s main driver. Our hero gets more than he bargained for when he meets the man who is married to the woman he loves.

I’ve been an IMDb member for about 5 years or so and I’ve rated over650 titles. I never wrote a review before though…”Drive” is the most overrated movie I have ever seen. When I got out ofthe cinema the other night I was outraged. But not in the “I want mymoney back!” or “I want my two hours back!” way. I was outraged becausethis movie is rated higher than “Leon”, for example. I can name ahundred movies that are better than “Drive” but have lower ratings. In my opinion it’s a 6/10 movie. Full of clichГ©s, weak plot, nodialogue and uncalled for explicit violence scenes. The cinematic wasgood and the soundtrack was OK, but that doesn’t add up. Everybody istalking about the acting. Well, what acting? There are no characters,not even one line of dialogue to be remembered. Ryan Gosling acts likehe is the most awesome person in the universe. Moving around with hishands in his pockets or with his arms crossed on his chest, with atoothpick in his mouth like he’s Stallone in “Cobra”. A man of fewwords but who looks smarter than anybody else. He is ridiculous takinghimself so seriously. But hey, he is a mechanic, part time stuntdriver, part time get-away driver. How cool is that? Maybe he shouldhave also applied for a school bus driver position so his sensitiveside appear more clear to us and soften our dull old hearts.And what’s with all that violence? Broken skulls, throats cut, bloodeverywhere all of a sudden. These scenes just don’t fit in the movie.

As with most Hopalong Cassidy films this one has good action and amazinglyauthentic feel for period setting and beautifully filmed locations,especially for Saturday morning features. This one moves more toward thekiddie audience with a youngster named Boots coming to Hoppy’s rescue.Muchto my surprise and delight Hoppy movies are starting to show up on TVagainafter a prolonged absence.

Dana Carvey, the hugely popular TV comedian, had established himself as afilm star with his hilarious portrayal of Garth in the films “Wayne’sWorld”and “Wayne’s World 2.” The success of those films was enough to give himthestarring lead in this 1994 MGM release. Unfortunately, this film doesn’tmake good use of Carvey’s comedic talents at all and reduces his characterto a needless sight gag. Those who were really disappointed with Carvey’slast film, “The Master Of Disguise” will be even more so with thisone.
